I'm looking to do an engine swap on my Chevy II it has the original 3 speed transmission but I'm not sure what the bolt pattern on it is I would like to put in a 305 small block from an old Buick cutlass if anyone has information on the bolt patterns of either of these parts I would appreciate it

From 1963 up to the time Chevy started using the skinny 60 degree block (like in an S10) all bell housing bolt patterns are the same from the 4 cylinder to the 454 big block for both a standard or automatic, that's why hot rodders love them. The V8 was offered in a 1965 Chevy II which was still a square body like yours so parts can be found to do a factory like V8 swap.

Thanks that helps a lot and that's exactly what a few people told me earlier today I'm glad to know I don't need a new transmission or an adapter
