Have a 4:11 rear diff now, my question is will a set of 38 gears fit on the 4:11 carrier or will i have to replace carrier also. thanks in advance for any info.
Well you can put a 3:08 gear on a 4 series carrier just and more shims. But you can't put a 4 series gear on a 3 series carrier. It is do to the thickness of the Ring gear. You cant shim it over far enough
