Hey guys. I will be working on my 1965 K20 4x4 here soon and am looking for any usefull info I may need down the road. My first question is, is there a way to convert the front drum brakes to disks?
The second is powersteering. How do I go about putting that on the truck. I have an mid 70s chevy 4x4 sittin out in the pasture wondering if the steering pump from that will work.
Third does someone make an adapter to go from 8 bolt wheels to six bolt? I am going to get some pics of it todayand get them up so you can see what I am starting with. Any info you guys can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

    here are some pics

here are a couple pics. Pics of the shop we are in the process of building. Thats where I will be tearing down the 65. It is 80x108. Has a living qrts in it also, 2 rotary car hoists, machine shop welding area. We are in the process of hanging 2"airline around the inside now. I am hoping we can get it completely wired up and working by mid winter.

On the 4x4's the only way to get disc brakes is to change the front axle. A front axle from any solid axle truck or blazer, suburban will work. That mid 70's 4x4 that you have would be a perfect parts truck for the axle. The power steering pump will work, you will have to get a bracket like the REZ power steering gear bracket to put a power steering gear on your truck. I'm not real sure if the REZ bracket will work on the 60-66 4x4's. Hav'nt gotten around to call them to check this out. I have a 61 4x4 and did the axle swap on mine. Just hav'nt done the power steering conversion yet. Jeremy.

Nope, it won't. Strictly a two wheel drive application for C10's & C20's.
