i have a '65 C-10 stepside that had no heater...i found a '65 standard heater (with 1 knob that pulls & turns) my problem is...where does the defroster hoses hook to the heater...i know that the other end hooks to the vents on top of dash......thanks, glenn
The hoses connect to the defuser box below the dash. It has a handle that you throw to select defrost or heat. The control knob you describe is for the Thrift Heater. The knob controls the heat, ( by pulling out on the knob), and the 2 speed blower, ( by turning the knob.). If you are still missing the defuser box, check e-Bay orthe local wrecking yards. Val
defroster hose reply hi, thanks for the quick reply...cant imagine why previous guy took that end piece off & left the rest under dash....great looking panel...i'm just about finished with a '65 stepside...have 330 crate also....thanks again.....glenn in maryland
