Hi Scott, a long stepside bed should fit right on, since the bed is primarily held to the truck by bolts in the wood with an offset washer. Stepside fenders on the shortbed have braces to the front of the runningboards where they join the fenders that run to a hole drilled in the chassis with a nut(welded?) on the back. Longbeds are probably the same. Good luck!
