66 trans ideas

I have a 66 long bed with a 6 cylinder (250). I want to keep the 6 and install an auto trans with the shifter on the column. Also want to add PS, PB and AC. I also want to put the gas tank under the bed and put the filler neck in the side of the bed. Is all this possible and has anyone built one like it? All help appreciated. Thanks

Many have done this .

I'd suggest an over drive tranny , my current TH350 works great but the engne winds up too much on the Highway , having any sort of OD will ease the engine's RPM's & $ave you fuel and repairs .

Old Novas etc. will have the L6 and auto tranny if you go the cheap route .
