I am just getting started. Ordered the shop manual and factory assembly manual. I was going to remove the body from the frame, can this be done in one complete piece or will it need to come apart one fender, etc. at a time? It doesn't appear to be too many pieces either way. Will the steering column need to be completely removed to get the body off?
You'll have to take off the hood and front fenders to remove the tub. It is way easy though. You will have to disconnect the steering shaft from the box or remove it as well. Where did you get your shop manual and more inportantly the factory assembly manual? Does it show you all the parts and where they go???
the shop manual has almost all the info needed for working on the truck and its componets. the factory assembly manual is a detailed picture book that shows how things go togather and wher they are supposed to be
Tech1 Do you carry assembly manuals for 73 and up blazers/pickups? I could only find 67-72 on your site.
Tech, Is the shop manual the same as the assembly manual ie. does it include body part assembly info???
the shop manual is more useful because it will tell you how things go togather and yes it does cover some body parts. the assembly manual does not tell you anythong it just has pictures of how it goes togather.
