71 Blazer question

I just picked up a 71 Blazer to part out,but am not as familier with them as the pickup. There is 1 small plastic tab screwed to the inside of the door near the front just below the vent window. There is one on each side. My 72 pickup doesn't have these nor have I ever seen them. They appear to be factory. I thought they might be some kind of vent window stop, but they are placed in a spot where the window would never touch them. Anyone know what these little puppies are or were used for? I'm puzzled.
