For Question two the center bolt on the fire wall engine bay side has to come out the the should be two long screws bolts on the is side. Then it's just two tabs just pry a little bit out of the tubs. You should see them try not to brake them or snap them. Now you should be able to work on both side.

You can buy the stud for the upper control arm from Classic Parts. I replaced mine when I rebuilt my suspension a few years back, one of them was a pain to get in/seated with the engine in, can't remember if it was the front or rear stud.

Thank you for your fed back, just to be sure In side of engine bay DR side remove center bolt. in side of cab remove (2) two long bolts. now will the harness come through the fire wall and then can they be seperated or should they be seperated in place

now for the upper control arm this is a stud not a bolt if so I have # 12 tempered bolts from other projects which will work
and by the way my daily driver is a 1980 I ton utility bed 4x4 used to have a cherry picker in it I love being able to have my tools with me on site nothing like it the 77 will be lowered bed welded to cab roof and tail gate from subburn fuel doors from 89 SHO internal open cables seats from SHO ad other things FUN FUN FUN 40 hrs should do it??

The bolt in the engine bay allows you to disconnect the engine wiring harness from the cab harness. The two bolts inside just hold the fuse box to the firewall.

I suppose you could use a bolt, one of mine had been replaced with a grade 5 bolt at one point. But I'd recommend getting the right part. The studs have splines where they pass through the frame to help keep them from spinning when you tighten them; which is why they need to be seated with a hammer/small sledge.

Yes they can, be seperated but it makes it easier if they be seperated in place with the in cab not undone first. Try to gently pull it out there a gasket on the engine firewall side if it ripes you can black silicone to glue it back too getther, use the block to hold the shape. Then you can put a light coating over the gasket on both sides let dry free out & that will make sure it makes a good seal. When you put it back in this makes it reuseable for any time you need to take the bulk head out ( the motor side fues side wire ).
