i'm looking for some info on a motor i've purchased. i have the casting# and info on it. it's a 454 with a casting date of May 14, 1979. casting number is 361959. on the back of the block, practically hidden by the flywheel, it says "hi per pass" below this it says RA. what does the RA stand for. i thought it was the suffix code but when i got home and online i found the suffix code would be on the front of the block and it is three characters long not 2. i beleive this motor to be from a 79' suburban, originally. However, i have no actual proof of this. i know it came out of a 79' suburban and figured it to be original due to the casting date.
