I am a contractor and use my great lil 85 S10 consistently, the tailgate latch gave up the ghost today and mechanisms inside at toast. Desparately trying to find the mechanisms or a reasonably priced tailgate. Searched ALL day in three states of wrecking yards etc. Dlr. wants $ up the buns - for each mechanism is $140. I use this truck everrrrry day and am gonna get REAL tired REAL fast of having the tailgate down, because you can't open it if its up.....each a.m. and p.m. I'll have to put all my tools,supplies in my storage, only to reload/unload again the next day, rather than being able to just leave everything in the back.
