i dragged the ole one ton grain truck home last winter and started replacing gaskets - valve cover, side cover, pan gasket. then on to trans. - pto gasket. still to be installed - pinion seal rear diff. oh yea, also replaced water pump and gasket and thermostat and gasket. hope to have leak issues solved soon. horn relay was shot, as was signal lever - replaced. front bumper mangled - removed. all rubber seals and windlace replaced. new front and side window and hardware window crank and door opener replaced. new arm rests and door panels (original cardboard type) installed. original wooden box removed and replacement box (1954) installed but not finished. two sheets GIS plywood used for box floor. frame to be shortened and original wheels cut down for tubeless tires - original centres. lead used in many places. much work done - much to go.
Very Good ! I like both this truck and what you're doing with it . It's been a few years (like 40) since I saw snow inside the cab on a cold Winter morning . I also havn't seem on of those thing GM B/O/P/ Forklift batteries for a while , they used to be quite common in my yoot . Keep up the hard work and pictures coming . That engine is a dipper 235 , correct ? .
You should be able to find an 410 that will slide right in without any modes. For me the 410 was not really what I wanted so I had one built with 342/1 that I really like.
