I got my front harness (alt w/lights) for my 65 today. got everything transfered over went to turn over my engine and.....nothing...no lights not starter dead!!! ended up the harness where it connects to the firewall was the right pluge but the contacts were COMPLEATLY different then the original. I will be calling Chevy Duty tomorrow to get it sent back and get the RIGHT one. I think our host should have a tech line open later at night since alot of people work on their trucks on the weekday in the later evening. I hope they take care of me and my issue...never had a problem like this befor and would hate to have it tarnish my view of them.

    Boy, I would hope so!

I was thinking of buying the same harness for my 65, but my 65 is a GMC and it is my understanding that the harness is mirrored on the GMC and is not the same as the Chevy.

Sorry, but every once in a while we get one of those harnesses in that has a plug like that, it's VERY rare! You can change the connections yourself to save time, or call us and we can send you another harness for exchange. Again we are sorry that you have gotten one of these harnesses. 1-800-741-1678

There are a lot of things that can be said about ChevyDuty, one of them is they have a long history of being Customer Focused. If there is a legitimate problem with an order, they will make it good.

When it comes to electrical harnesses, and a lot of other replacement parts, I have a habit of doing a side-by-side comparsion before installation. The few minutes it takes to do that will help to prevent hours of diagnosis of a problem after replacement of a part.

But, that being said, Fear not. Our hosts will take care of you.

While I agree later hours would be nice, I must say that I have found that our host's customer service has been very good.

When I had a question about my front cab mounts the Tech actually went out to his truck and decribed how to access them. I don't know many on-line services that are willing to do that.

I also appreciate them NOT trying to sell me the "Weekly Special" when I make an order as other suppliers do.

    Okay.....CHEVYDUTY REDEEMED

Called returns today and they were able to send out new one WITH a pre payed return lable included so no added cost to me. I still wish they were open later then what they are, even by an hour or two, because i was off by 45 min when i found the problem last night so if they were open till 6 or 7 central time ( 4 or 5 pac time for me ) i would have been able to place the order last nigth and out today insted of order today and out tomorrow ( could have had it by friday )

So what i am saying is i feel that i HAVE been taken care of.
