I took this photo from my roof the other day, just before it snowed. The leaves dropped overnight, and I looked out my window the next a.m. to see nothing but beautiful yellow:)

    Wow !

That's a great pic Less ! you know you could sell the heck out of that one .

Yellow is an odd color , they say mostly crazy folks like yellow cars

I found out that yellow kinda grows on you , I've had several yellow cars over the years , my '49 was originally Alaska Yellow (or was it Yukon Yellow ? they're the same) , that's a nice pastel yellow that looks sharp two toned with brown fenders .

The image is not a thumnail, it is just hotlinked from my blog site (which I have not updated it quite sometime)

By the way, I am making up small 12 month full color calendars this year to mail out to all of my clients. I have decided to do an AD truck theme this year. I know that I will end up with at least a dozen extra calendars, so if anyone would like one (free of charge) let me know. I will be mailing them by the first week in January. Just send me a private message with your mailing address, and I will be sure to send you a copy. (I promise I won't start stalking you, or sending you hate mail;)

Jess, me being a complete doofus when it comes to GMC's, here's a question for you. I noticed in your picture that you have what I assume are turn signal pods mounted on the tops of the front fenders. Are those original? I've never seen them on any other GMC truck before. Sure would like to see a closer shot of them. They look really cool! Thanks for sharing the pic.

The little lights on the top of the fenders are not original. I had to replace the entire front clip after I was hit by a drink driver about 8 years ago. (and I swear to this day that my big yellow tank of a truck saved my life!) Anyway... like a typical woman, I went a little bit nuts with my shopping (only my shopping involved lots of parts from a salvage yard;) ) I purchased the entire front clip all in one piece. I took the little lights off of a 39 plymouth (If I remember correctly) and I picked up a bunch of other misc trim and interior parts.

Funny thing happened after I put those lights on.

I get this call from the owner of the salvage yard (Shorty is his name) and he asked if I would be willing to sell those little lights for two or three hundred dollars! I guess a bunch of Americruisers raided his yard, and one asked where those lights went, so he called me. I told him I was not interested in selling them even for that amount, because I really like the way they look on the truck. I would have made quite a nice profit considering I only paid $5 for the pair! Oh well, that me. I wouldn't sell my tuck for a million bucks.... I am not kidding.
