Anyone have a 55-59 Chevy truck with an accessory clock? Did Chevrolet even offer one in 55-59 model trucks? I dont remember ever seeing one. I would like to see a picture of one if they exist. Thanks, Tom.
as far as I can tell-only cars ever had clocks in these years.there is no listing in the chevy accessory catalog for truck clocks.
yes, I have a '55 Series 1 Pickup with an accessory clock, which unfortunately does not work. If anyone has a source for repair of an accessory clock, I would appreciate it. 55series1pickup
you could probably take it to an old clock shop and one of the old timers in there can more than likley rebuil it for you.
My 1955 Task Force has a clock. It is a wind-up, and is located to the left of the gauges, between the light switch and the choke. I've seen similar clocks in other Chevy passenger cars of the same vintage, but never in another truck. Could this have been added at the dealer? The cab is a small back window, and is pretty basic. this could be a dealer add-on or even a very old aftermarket part.It is interesting as I have never seen one.The spot it is installed in is the spot that the emergency brake indicator light would also fit in.
