I have wanted to add backup lights for a long time, both for function and for a little more chrome. My truck has a four speed on the floor with a Summit Racing engine. Question? What and how do the lights come on? Can I purchase the switch for the shifter at a auto parts store in a universal form? I know Classic Parts sells the lights themselves but that's all I know about them.
    Thanks,

    Hurst Backup Light Switch Kit

Are you the type that can do a bit of fabrication? Hurst makes a kit with a switch that activates via the transmission reverse lever. With a bit of fabrication and some good ole fashion ingenuity I am sure you could make this work with your transmission.

Also, do a google image search for "hurst 4 speed back up light switch"

Hope this helps... and good luck to ya.
