I have a 1952 Chevy PU and while putting it together, I have some gap issues. The bed is square and the frt fenders are adjusted close. When I shut the hood the driver side doesn't close all the way down on the rubber cowl w/strip and the gap is a little wider than the driver side. The main problem I have is the gap on the left side at the cab where the runningboard to bed panel, there is no gap at the cab. But on the pass side there is at least a good 1/2 to 5/8 gap.
Could someone please give me some good advice to where to shim. I've tried not shimming at all. I'm about ready to try taking the bolts out of the radiator support, front cab and try twisting it to the right.

    XX Shims

I put my truck back together recently and there are no shims. Not sure where you would put them. Send some pictures and I'm sure someone will be able to figure out what gives. Could it be a bad cab mount?
