Advice needed Ranger torque splitter comb. with SM 420 or SM 465 trans ?

Found this link today and thought that the advance OD combined with the SM 420 or the model SM 465 is a good outcome for the chevy 1950 1/2 t. truck with torque tube , you have to shorten the tube a 7". Any one have any experience with the Ranger torque splitter combined with the SM 420 or SM 465 transmission ? Which of the two transmissions are to prefer in range or quality ?

If you scroll the way down at this page the chevy torque splitter shows with diff. retainer index. Retainer index is 4.686 ".
