    greetings to all !!!

i am the pround owner of a 66 Chevy stepside. it is in great shape, no rust really, straight body, 350 bored 30 over, holley carb, etc.. the only thing left stock has been the dash. i have installed a set of h20,oil,volt guages and i need a new speedo, tach and better fuel guage.

i want to take the old speedo insert assy. out and replce it w/a custom cut peice of SS/aluminum. i wanted some advice on what functional guages are out there at reasonalbe prices. i do have access to a lot of old cars, wrecks that have good working guages. any help from the older wiser crowd is much appreciated.

also what does everyone think of maacco paint jobs.i am in NE texas and the truck is good just faded/oxidized. is this quick cheap fix, to good to be true?

signed, clean hands, butnot for long !!,

    semper fi,
    shawn

    Hi Shawn,
I replaced my gages with AutoMeter and they meet all my needs. I also included a clock. The dash insert can be purchased from several sources, if you check my LINKS page you can see how I used. I also chromed the stock dash bezel, which looks good.
As far as the paint, I can't say who is good but if money is tight, an inexpensive paint job is better than letting your truck continue to rust. Good luck, Rick
