Anyone know of a shop that installs air bag suspension for 56 trucks in Santa Clara, Ca. or San Jose, Ca?

    Thanks in advance,

    Bizz

Bizz, been a few years since I moved from Santa Clara, but I don't remember too many hot rod shops around any more. You might try calling Speed Merchant, over on Lincoln Ave (408 295-0930), D Rods Street Rods on Almaden (408 286-3365), or Don's Street Rod Co., in Fremont (510 744-9022). I know Speed Merchant deals with a lot of that stuff. They can likely give you some ideas. Good luck.....Mike

Thanks Mike... WHeeeww!! I didn't know how expensive it was to install airbags.. drodstreet rod quoted me $5000.00 for slow bags and $8000.00 for fast... Don's looks like he's the cheapest, $5500.00 for the fast bags.

Yowza!!!!! Did you tell them you already had the truck. Ha Ha. I know there are quite a few components that go with airbagging, but I imagine they are marking up their parts quite a bit. If that was for complete front and rear conversion, with 4 link, front independent, and all needed parts, turn key, then it may be a fair price, as that is quite a list of parts to install. Otherwise I'd probably keep shopping, and start researching how to install it myself. I'll ask around to see if I can find any other shops that can do the work.......Mike

Thanks Mike, YEah, I know the kit runs between $900.00 to $1100.00.
I just need to find someone that charges cheaper labor. $4500 + is way to much for labor.. I think i can buy a whole frame with air bag suspension for that price...
