The clean shop is just an empty shell now but no more empty than my heart. It was a wonder to see for gear heads of all types but now the machines have gone to every continent but Antartica. Cancer, heart disease, and a very messy divorce were factors but every thing but the divorce is directly related to old age. I hoped against hope that one person would take it all but the economic climate is not right for that I guess. For 25 years we tried to contribute some cutting edge designs and techniques and since nothing was ever done to be marketed everyone in the industry felt free to consult with us. It stroked the ego for the "WHO's Who" list of performance figures to be asking about what we had learned with some project that was on going. As far as I know we had every single machine that has ever been made for engine and power train building and testing. The building that was so stuffed that two people couldn't pass each other in the aisle is now a 225X285 foot empty box. I went there yesterday but I won't be going back.

Evan, this is truly a sad day for me! You have been an inspiration to me for the last 5 years and I have looked forward to every thread you've started and every post that you've penned! It's a crying shame that the old school way of doing things is such a dying art!

There is a lot more I'd like to say but I'm at a loss for words right now (imagine that!).

Please stay active on the forum here! Your knowledge and expertise is beyond reproach!

    All my best,

    Ken

    Evan,
I read this forum EVERY day like the morning paper. I do not post unless I have something useful to add, or maybe I am looking for something. I can tell you that reading this post by you this morning weighed heavy on me. I am sorry to hear of your "situation".

Some years back I purchased an AD/S10 conversion kit. Robert had given me your name as a reference, and you were kind enough to take time out of your day to reply to my inquiry. Imagine that... I guy I never met (in Texas), taking time out of his work day to give his opinion of a product (from California) to me (in New hampshire).

Thank you for that, and the countless posts you have contributed to this forum. I appreciate it.

Good luck wherever life leads you.

    Mike

I have thought about this post as I did when I seen Gaters truck being mis treated by others. Sad to hear that those four walls no longer guide you. While you may not have that ship to navigate any longer, never give up the wheel. Never let the bastards win.

    Keep it American Made,
    Charles

Evan, all of us here hope all goes well for you on the health front. The divorce thing, you're not alone there either. You've been a most valuable contributor to this forum and to the automotive world. Keep those posts coming and the best of luck to you!

Evan, I add my best wishes for your future as well. You are one of the reasons we all do check this forum frequently, and we hope you do continue to share your knowledge with the rest of us. It is always sad to see something great come to the end of its road, especially when it is so large a part of your daily life. Nothing sadder than the empty walls of a once bustling shop. We hope your health issues improve, and you always find satisfaction in helping others traveling the roads you have-
    Tom
