Will put on the TF Forum also but the 57 has some things that apply to other years also. Deve asked about hose routing and this shows both heater and a/c. The a/c hoses run through the gap between the thermostat housing and the water pump where they are bundled with the heater hoses and then on to the firewall. Some use bulkhead fittings in the firewall and other just cut the hole big enough for the hose fittings to pass through and the use a grommet or dum dum. I like the a/c and and alternator belt drive so well that I'll no longer make up dual crank pulleys and am going to this set up on my 37 Buick. Still waiting for the correct hub caps and beauty rings and just got new radiator but it's almost ready to go home. Owner seems excited. Original 57 235 with Borgwarner 3sp OD, radials, front discs, lots of sound deadining and insulation which makes a quiet ride with heat and cool that is awesome and can cruise in the left lane.

    Looks good Evan.

Where does the alternator mount connect to the engine? Mine sandwiches between the head and the thermostat housing which makes for a very sturdy mount. Just needs one additional gasket. Looks like yours is lower.

Are the door latches kits or home brew?

The wheels look good already and the trim rings will only make them better.

Looks great Evan! Thanks for sharing. My OD system has the original type kickdown switch at the carb. I wish it was moving along faster! Nice work!

Thanks everyone. Bill, the bear claws are Altman Trique Latch ones the owner had us install right after he bought the truck and was using it to drive to school (smart move). The alternator mount bracket bolts to the water outlet housing on the front of the head and to a water pump bolt. Yours may be better but by using a thick adjuster arm for the alternator the bracket is aligned vertically and spaced out enough to give lots of room for the a/c hoses.
