alt amps needed

    when i replace my genarator with an alt how many amps will i need to run the basic stuff and a/c in the future?

    Both my trucks were A/C equipped. Both used 47 AMP alternators. Rebuilts with the FLAPS brand name can be had for less than $40 today. Never had a problem with them.

    Alternator

    Any SI alternator fom an AC equipped car will do ~ IIRC the 40 Ampere ones are for Camaros , look them up OnLine in NAPA or whomever's catalog , they'll have a few choices .

    The higher output ones tend to come with serpentine belt pulleys , not worries just use your old generator pulley .
