Alternator

Hi, I have a 1959 chevy apache, I am going to use a 63 alternator on it. I was wondering what the plug type terminals are in the middle of it go to or are used for. I see the bat. and grd. but the recessed plug type terminals in the middle got me baffled. Thanks

Not absolutely sure, one may be for the alternato indicator light on the instrument panel, one may be to send current to the excitor in the regulator. Best thing to do is take the 63 alternator to a local repair shop and let them convert it to a one wire alternator, mine cost me about $20.00. Connect your ground and connect the one hot wire and you are ready to go.
