hey ladies and gents, just signed up here, and have found lots of valuable info. so first let me say thank you. i came upon an aluminum dual quad intake today, complete with original carb set-up. seems to be that it is for a 58-61 283. i plan on using it on my 65 suburban, which has a 327 300hp from an impala ss. anyone have any suggestions for this swap? and what is this thing worth? a damn thing? thanks all!!

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Aug-18-02 AT 04:51 PM (CST)]:) howziit 65subby! if it's in good shape, and you have the casting #'s, it's worth a bunch to those numbers-matching restorers.

it probably came off an old corvette or '57-up high-performance sedan.

i guess you could overhaul the carbs and linkage, and run'em.(it took me 5 hours to overhaul a WCFB carb...and 45 minutes to renew an edelbrock carb.)

    JMO, i'd sell'em, and run a performer w/500cfm carb.

if you're intent on running dual quads, edelbrock sells new manifolds and carb
