I found an aluminum visor for the 51. Are the originals aluminum or steel? The guy said that he took it off a truck in the hedge row. I thought they were steel. He wants 200 with all brackets and no dents. Good price ? Mike
I have both aluminum and steel ones and as long as it's in good shape $200 seems reasonable. It must stand up well and have good bracing or it would show faults by now. The aluminum one I had on my 37 Buick did fine until I put the 2.73 gears in and highway speed went up enough to arch it on both sides of the center brace. Went to a Fulton and then when gas got to $4 I took it off alltogether.
