American Steel Verses Japanese Doo Doo So I cruised down the hill this weekend to take care of some business and change gears in my "61" first I had to take care of a ticket and that's when the good luck started, I walked in to the court to fight my bogus ticket and the cop didn't show up "DISMISSED" I love when that happens. So I went and hung out with my son for a while then decided to go out on the town. So I was cruising down Mchenery avenue in Modesto Ca. (home of American Graffiti) and these 2 boys pulled up next to me in some Jap. car. I could hear the turbo whistling and the pop off valves hissing, these boys wanted to play. I guess it was the whine of my gear drive that got their attention. So they took off and I hit it too, their car sounded like something from the Fast and Furious and was pretty fast but even with the 308 gears and the 1 legger I was able to start pulling them at 6 grand and when I hit second I sling shotted by them then did it 1 more time at the next intersection. When the boys got up next to me 1 of them was all shits and giggles and told me my truck was cool. All I could say was you boys need to turn up the boost on that turbo. A lesson was taught in American steel verses Japanese doo doo that night and I got to relive my youth 1 more time. The next morning we put the truck up on the rack and put a set of 411's and a locker in the old truck and turned it in to a fire breathing beast that will set you back in the seat through all 3 gears until you let off the gas, man what a thrill! It was a good weekend and a lot of fun being a kid again......Yeah Good Times....Big Tim
thumbs up... Great story, you put a huge smile on my face today! Can't wait to get mine on the road again, hopefully not too long!
