I just got my rebulit guages back from our host, had them converted to 12V and upgraded the oil press guage also am going to a single wire alternator and new wireing harness. So my question is what wires from what source goes to my amp guage I know one comes from the alt. post and what wire feeds my fuel guage ,I know which wire goes to the sending unit but which wire goes to the other side. Thanks alot for any help

If you send me a PM with your email I can send you PDF's of the wiring diagrams.

I don't know what the amp output from the org. gen was but my built in regualtor alt. is 65 amps so my question is will the guage stay peged out or will it do any damage to the guage? The org. wiring diag. shows one wire comes from the voltage reg. and the other one goes to the horn so the amps just pass through the guage.

    Not to worry ~

It only puts out the amperage needed at any given time .

So you don't think there will be any problems or any damage to the guage? I just don't want to see smoke! Thanks for the rely.

There shouldn't be ~ the correct wiring is for only the charge circuit to go through it .

Does anyone know if it matters which post the feed wire goes to and if the other wire has to be a circuit the has a draw. I have a switched wire the feeds from the batt.+ for one post and I know the org. wireing diag. shows the other going to the horn but my new harness has its own horn relay circuit built in so what should I connect the other post to? I would assume it would need to be a switched circuit.

The guages flow from left to right through the guage.
