another dumb question

I have an offenhauser manifold that I am going to install on my truck. Do I need to use the carburator insulators with this manifold? The reason I am asking is the two threaded posts the carburator bolts too, has one threaded bolt that is shorter the the other, and if I use the insulator the shorter bolt is too short. I have tried to get it out and put a longer threaded post in but have not been able to remove it. Any ideas guys?

Yes the insulators have to be installed to get the right distance and to prevent your carb gets to hot. Removing the bolt could be done if you warm up the flange very gently. Use your baking oven to heat it up and not a flame tourch as you could damage the aluminum by using to much heat.

Thanks for the reply. I found out also that some genius person invented a stud puller awhile ago.... I told you guys it was a dumb question...

If you didn't ask and then screwed it up or ruined the new intake manifold , that'd be dumb , _maybe_ .
