My guess is that you've got a leak in the heater somewhere.

    core leaking

I am having the same issue and it is my core. Good news easy to remove and replace. Of course since it is out I now what to restore the heater before reinstalling it. So an hour job will take days but that is why I look the truck. Our sponsor sells a core but only for the fresh air version of the heater. Good luck.

Sometimes a good radiator shop will take these on for rebuild.

    Re:Control Valve

Charles, I remember you were having an issue over which hose the control valve should be connected to. Did you ever get this sorted out?

No, have not had the time to work on that, I was going to add another valve seeing I have it and turning it on in the winter. I still have the shinny one left. But no time to deal with it now, winter should be here by the time I get to it. Been working on getting the 9N ready to sell.

Pretty tough to find a place that sells heather cores. Anyone have any suggestions as to where to buy a core , closest thing I have found is an heater with the core on ebay.

Im assuming your talking about the heater-defrost assembly? That looks like the best bet to replace the core
