Someone was asking about how much to insure their vehicle for and I wanted to give a real life example.

I have about $24k in my 47' restoration, (your welcome Chevy Duty). It cost me $250/yr with that value declared and agreed upon with Hagerty's. I bought a 53' that is somewhat custom but very nice and in some ways nicer then the 47'. Needs a little detail finishing for $12,600.

I can buy any of these for $12,600 now as the market is really depressed, just check Ebay. NADA average retail for these is $13,200.

I declared replacement value as $13,200 on each of them. The new policy was $237/year with both cars on that single policy. So...$13 less for two vehicles.

My point is, just being totally objective with yourself on what you can replace your truck for will keep you riding and insured, not isurance poor.
