I have been drafted to drive my wife and her sister from Houston to NE side of Dallas Saturday for a social event with their cousins and aunts. This will be an all female affair and will go on well into the evening. My wife is the pick of the litter, so why would I raid the party? I was thinking that if there was a local cruise-in I'd like to attend. I'll be roughly in the 635/Walnut Hill Lane area, but I don't mind traveling a bit.
check the Dallas Area Classic Chevys(DACC) website...They have a bunch posted near where you`ll be.....
Darn, Bill, I wish this site hadn't been giving a "newsletter" everytime I clicked on the forum for the last week. Finally displayed the forum just now, Sunday, the 17th. Am only 45 minutes from 635 and Walnut and you could have viewed my own car show and then been chaufeured around to several shows--there's always one at a Sonic or Kellers or somewhere every Saturday during the summer. The "car show" in the shop consists of a 53 Stude PU, a 52 Suburban, 68 442 conv., 72 442, 65 & 66 Barracudas, 39 Ford Std cpe., 34 Chev 5W cpe., one each 53,54,55, 56, and 66 Ford pickups, 58 Chev Bel Air (not Impala) 2dr HT, 40 Pontiac Bus. cpe., 37 Ply cpe., 48 AD, 34 Ford PU, 32 Chev cpe., 37 Buick, 40 LaSalle, 34 Auburn and a 37 Chev 2T that's been made into a rollback car carrier. Just around the corner are my buddies three 62 409 Chevys, 37 Business cpe with a 409 and a 37 Sedan Delivery.
