Through the years our customers cars have won trophy's for best of class, best of show, and peoples choice which is nice but an experience shared by many other shops and individual builders. It is good to be recognized but now there is a discussion going on that has me excited again. The topic is, "Who is using daily or near daily the oldest forklift"? It's on autos.groups.yahoo.com and so far our old 1945 Ross 19HT is holding on. It was delivered to the War Department on May 15th, 1945. The old son-of-a gun just won't give up and lifts bodies off frames, carries anything heavy to the sand/media blaster, raises car trailers up so no ramps are needed, moves engines about with just a five pound pull of a lever, and is just indispensible for a restoration shop. I thought you might get a kick out of one of the entries in the shop manual for it.
Good luck, Evan! I just think it's bad ass that you're using something that was delivered to the War Department. And the entry regarding destroying the forklift to prevent the enemy from using it is awesome. Damon
