I am sue someone will know what year this axle came off of I think a 62-63.

Rocky top right side of axle housing will have a series of numbers and letters, this will decipher axle ratio, posi vs non posi and year, the numbers wil read left to right looking at it from the rear top of tube.

From what I have found out the axle came out of 63-64 it is a 12 bolt 17 spline. Can I use it on my 66 and what will I need to do for the stabilizer bar to work.

That appears to be `64 going by the track bar bracket, same as mine, what year is your truck...? Best picture I have of it,,,

It is not a matter of it being long enough the bracket on the chassis is at an angle and on the axle the bracket is straight.

Sorry now I understand, I browsed around and do not see anyone offering one for your application, so one of three choices, buy the adjustable and have a shop bend the end nearest to the rear axle mount,( these are tubular steel, not solid ) have one made from scratch or change the frame mount to the 1964 style so its straight across to the axle mount. I know this is something you didnot want to hear...third choice might be cheaper if you had a donor truck...

That might be the way just change the mount on the chassis to the 64 style that is straight maybe the stabilizer bar will be the right length. If I am understanding you. But I can get the right axle from a wrecking yard.

Its your choice then, the frame mounts are riveted in, easiest way to remove them is with a four inch grinder, grind the heads off and use a drift punch with a 2 lb sledge hammer....
