Have any of you guys bought the LED bed hole lights (part #16-141) that our host sells? I'm wondering if the red lights connected to the rear tail light harness really are a visual safety item or whether they are just some custom eye candy. Also curious about connecting the LED circuit to the 12v wiring. Seems like I read they aren't compatible.

It seems to really make a difference the extra lights need to be away from the tailights. I installed a third brake light on my '65, not so much 'cause I wanted to, but more because so many folks are used to third brake lights today I figure its a must have.

I used a GM OEM light and merely spliced into the existing brake light circuit. I haven't had any issues with the LED's in the 1965 circa wiring circuits.

The leds are bright and they do show up, especially for people who are used to looking at big high mounted brake lights. They do look good, but I don't have them.
