bed to frame

need some input on attaching the bed to frame. Thinking about NOT running the bed to frame bolts through the wood floor to avoid the recessed holes in the wood. I would recess the bottom side of the boards to fit over the top of the bed to frame bolts instead. Anybody done this and is there any pros or cons other then having an issue with removing them if you need to get the box off ? Thanks

Your plan is exactly what I did 13 years ago with my long bed everyday driver GMC. The bed has yet to fall off.
