bonded title??

    has anyone in here ever had to file for a bonded title on an old anything?

    No. But make sure you trust the seller very much. When they run the VIN and it comes up hot you are possibly out of a vehicle.

    I've had to get one for my pick-up. In Texas it's the only way to get it if you've lost the title...my truck did not come up as stolen, the guy before me had a lien against the vehicle, but the bank went belly up. So I'm left with a truck that I have to get a bonded title for. The part that sucks the most is I have to carry insurance for my truck (which is a pile of parts currently) for 3 years. Valued at $19k!!!:mad::mad::mad: So I'm putting this off for a little bit (until I'm out of college probably). Good luck with yours, I'd take the VIN to the DMV and have them get you a history on the truck. Or if you have any friends in your local P.D ask them to run the numbers and see what comes up :D
