Just wondering what you guy's are doing. I'm putting a V8 in with an auto trans so I welded up the clutch hole and plan on welding up the gas, but what about the brake? I already cut the top plates off everything and now I'm wondering if that was a mistake. I notice classic parts does not sell a grommet for the hole just some sort of seal that went between the the hole an to plate. So what are you guy's doing with your setup, brake and gas? Pictures would be nice. Thanks

You can always do the firewall mounted type~ Makes checking the fluid level a heck of a lot simpler...
Believe me, I thought about doing this a brazzillion times!

Would I also have the brake arm mounted to the firewall too, like modern cars?

I'm not sure exactly how it is set up, but it seems like I remember there is a mount that goes up under the dash from the dash to the firewall. This also is what the booster/master cylinder is mounted to. The brake pedal arm is mounted up under the dash on a pivot and hangs down where the old pedal used to come up through the floor.
I'm sure it's more complicated than this, but someone on here will set it straight, especially someone who has done this before.
    Good luck!

I have the under the floor model. I made a bolted access panel in the floor, checking the fluid level is not difficult by any means.
