brake lights

    my tail lights were not coming on at all changed fuses checked power and ended up having to replace tail light housings and adding a ground wire now they work but only when the headlights are on not when i push on the brake pedal heeeeeeelp

    Is this an original brake light switch, it may be dirty inside, work some w-d 40 into the inside and try it again, or try a jumper wire on the harness by passing the switch.

    Check the brake light switch and wiring. It is located at the top of the pedal stroke in the steering column housing. If it is the factory wiring, there will be a white wire and an orange wire in a two blade connector. These wire sometimes work loose or the switch fails. The switch is available at your FLAPS in your area. Good luck and let us know if you solve your brake light issues.

    i ended up having to change the stop light switch but now only the drivers side brake light lights up when i push on the brake pedal. im halfway there.what could be the cause of this. i also have a problem with a header gasket its puffing some air but there is a set of locking hex screws and i cant get any allen wrench i have in one of the screws because of where the bend is on the header does anyone know of some kind different tool i could use so i can change this gasket.
