I have two problems with my truck (81' C10 350 4bbl) that I need help on... 1. In the mornings, my truck often cuts off when stopped at red lights and stop signs. It sounds like it's choking down, but that doesn't make sense for it to choke down. I've heard it could possibly be a vacuum leak on my carb, but i put a remanufactured quadrajet on it in June. I have all the unused vacuum lines on the carb plugged w/ short hoses w/ 650 high temp silicone on the end. 2.My transmission (turbo 350) keeps popping out of drive and into nuetral, so I adjusted the linkage today, it now stays in gear, but it won't shift out of second. The tranny was rebuilt about midway through May, and it is linked to my carb by a vacuum hose, but i don't know that that has anything to do with it. Also, fluid leaks out of where my detent (kickdown) cable goes in. Could any or all of these things be related? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!
