Cab Corners

When I got my truck EVERYTHING was rusted to obliteration. Now that I am replacing everything and as this is my first 1st generation rebuild. I don't know what it is supposed to look like on the inside of the cab corners by the floor. I have everything where it is supposed to be and there is a huge hole from the outside of the floor to the inside of the cab corner. Like I can still see through to the garage floor. See picture for example of what I am talking about (obviously these were before pictures, which don't help as everything was so rusted). I can't find a picture online to save my life and I was curious to know if anyone would be able to take a picture of what theirs looks like. From the top side and from the underside.

Right here in the yellow circle, what is down there? In that area on my truck, if I look down it, I can see my garage floor. I will take a better picture of my cab support and show you what i mean.

Mike that would be carpet fuz and dirt laying on top of steel sheet metal.
