    Wanted to thank Ol` Chebby to share all his knowlegde and showing the detailed picture series. I really learned a lot from it. I noticed that you have used insulation material in the cab that i think is `nt for sale here in Norway, but i am not shore? Is it spesially pasform made fore chevy trucks or did you cut it out to make it fit right ? It has the aluminum film showing , but what is it made off and how thick do you recommend it must be to give the wanted noice reducing effect ?

    Dynamat or hushmat is the stick on sound deadner, the jute stuff is through most hot rod part suppliers, jute on one side, foil on the other. This is a good thermal barrier. Use super 99 3m adhesive to stick it.

    Well , no actually ;

    It's very important to only use closed cell padding , jute will hold any tiny bit of water that leaks in for a YEAR and we all know how badly these old rigs leak....

    That tiny bit of moisture in the padding will rust the floor faster than you can imagine .

    Completely cover the floor with hushmat, then any leaky cowl vent seals and bad windsheild rubber can't feed the rust. I use the jute on the roof and firewall, foil side out.

    Cab insulation mats.

    Armaflex is a good product, available in different thicknesses as i have been reading the product manual. It does not absorb any water and it has the alum film on one side to. The mat keeps vibrations and engine noices out and insulates heating densety coming from engine , exhaust pipe or transmission .

    Vibroplast is also a product available in the USA.
