I am starting to restore my cab and need some help and I am sure this won,t be the last time.

I need to find out want to do about the seal around the top of the hood and the doors. Do I scrape it out and put in new and where do I get it. Or should I just add more over the old. I am sending pictures

    Thanks for the help

The hood seal goes on with clips and or screws, the doors are a little more work,
    1. clean all surfaces of rust and all old adhesive, prime and or paint as needed.
    2. place seal around perimeter, taping with painters tape every six inches, when placeing seal do not stretch it, the joint will be at the bottom, make a cut in the seal at the bottom so that it resides under the door plate, cut at a 45 degree angle, this is to allow air out of the hollow seal, when satisfied with the fit use a quality brush on adhesive like 3-m, use the adhesive on the seal and the door edge both, working in six inch sections by pulling your tape loose and gluing allow a seven to ten minute glue set up time place seal into position carefully, reuse you tape into place once these touch, you will not be able to move them without tearing the seal, work you way around from top to bottom.
    3. Let this set for one day with doors open.
    4. once dried remove tape, ensure when you close door the seal stays put, the door will be hard to close, this is normal, the seals will take a set, leave the doors closed for two days, as time goes by they will be easier to close, my right door is still some what harder to close than my left after 20 years but the left side has taken a real beating from my big feet at the kick panel.
    Good luck...

Are you talking about the rubber seal that goes around the door that isn't what I need help with well maybe I will but I am not there yet. I am talking about the white in the pictures. I don't even know what it is or where to get it. And on the top of the cab I don't know what that stuff is.

    Rain Gutter Seal

Yes , you need to remove all of the old seal as there's almost always rust beneath it .
