Cab Swapping

I have a 53 chevy 1/2 ton p/u that im lokking for a donor cab for. Does anyone know if you can swap a cab from say a 48 to 52 or are the cab mountings different? Any info would be appreciated!

 

Cab Swap

The '48 thru '51 cab mounts are two in front, at sides, and one in center rear of cab. On 52 thru 54, there are two at front sides, and two at rear sides. I'm pretty sure of this arrangement. The assembly manual has specific details, but this is how I remember it. Hope this helps.

 

But, with a little finagling, they should fit up. All the sheetmetal will bolt up across the years.
