I am going to put an edelbrock #2102 camshaft in one of my 350s and was wondering how to break it in. I,ve looked at some websites but I would like to know what some of you have done.Karl

MAKE SURE TIMING IS SET, AND EVERYTHING IS HOOKED UP CORRECTLY. MAKE SURE AT NO TIME WHEN THE ENGINE IS RUNNING THAT YOU LET IT LUG OR IDLE. AFTER YOU START THE MOTOR SET YOUR IDLE SCREW AT ABOUT 3000 RPM'S AND LET IT RUN FOR A GOOD 15-20 MINUTES. WHAT YOUR DOING IS POLISHING THE CAM WITH THE LIFTERS. AFTER YOUR DONE CAN DROP IT BACK DOWN TO IDLE AND PERFECT YOUR TIMING AND IDLE SETTING. FOR THE NEXT 500MILES OR SO DRIVE IT AT DIFFERENT RPM'S LIKE ON A HIGHWAY TO INSURE ALL SEATING AND FINAL BREAKING IN. CHANGE YOUR OIL AND CRUZ.
