OK all. I bought a reman carb and I need to do some things to it to make it work. First off I need to get it changed to a manual choke. go figure.. And the throttle assembly is on the wrong side of the carb and I can not connect the arm to the throttle assembly. Is there a plate that I can bold on to make it work or am I going to have to buy a different carb? Richard
What brand is the carb? Which model is it? What kind of engine do you have? What year and model truck its going in? I strongly suggest keeping the electric choke, it makes warming up the engine and starting much easier. Overall it doesnt sound like the carb you want.
its a rochester 1 bbl for my 65 230. everything but the auto choke and the throttle connector is the same.
hoping someone ut there might be able to tell me if there is a reversal for the throttle. I really need to get her on the road and I dont want to buy another carb... I have thought about drilling a hole in the arm on the other side.
