carburetor help

    well i bought one of those little carb rebuild kits for the carb on my 64 inline 6. ever since i got it back together the truck seems like it wants to bog down and die everytime i stop. i adjusted the float but i need tome experienced advice. thanks

    Make sure the float does not have any leaks. If the float is intact, make sure that it is closing off the fuel.

    you may need to readjust your air fuel mixture screw and idle screw. turn you air/fuel screw until the engine wont idle any higher, turn it back a half turn and then adjust your idle screw down to about 800rpm. that may help.

    no problem, let us know if that works, i may have other ideas for you, ive had to rebuild several carbs in the past and it can get tricky.
