Which carburetor does anybody suggest i buy,an edelbrock or holley? I need a 600 cfm vacuum secondary for my 82 custom deluxe, with a 350.i heard that edelbrocks are hard to get adjusted properly. any info? thanks
I personaly like the Holley's over the Edelbrock, ( the Edelbrock is basicly a Carter carb ) if your going to be playing with the truck a lot I would go Holley. But if your going to play now and then but drive it mostly stay with a Rochester carb. Now it really up to you I find the Holley really easy to work on, I do find Rochester carb a little harder to work on. But I am getting better with them after playing with them. And you can to in time. You can send them to a one of the old school shops that fine tune them if you reaaly want some performance out of them. What type intake are using factory sprade bore, or squire bore after market, both set up like **Edelbrock intakes** if you are using a sprade bore intake and go with a Holley you need a adapter plate for most Holley's unless you get old holley made for the factory GM sprade bore intakes. 550- 600 vac secondary CARB will work fine for most stock to very lightly mod's to motor and feel peppie. yes I have seen that to & I heard that edelbrocks are hard to get adjusted properly some times.
