I Have decided to go ahead and change to a solid side window and remove the wing glass has anyone tried this.I don't have the option of trading doors for now.
You might try to google "Hagan" or "Hagan vent window eliminator". Have used their kit with good results and it costs about 75 bucks IIRC. You will have to do some door prep like taking out any brace between the inner and outer door panels and filling areas and holes around the vent windows former resting place. They supply angle braces that run the length of the window opening to restore the strength lost. Here is a 37 chevy coupe door (similar to an AD door) with all the prep done but not the braces installed yet.
