Check out this 1936 Chevrolet Assembly Line Video

Impressive! Demanded coordination and concentration for repetitive work. Didn't see any missing fingers! I can imagine the noise of that machinery and hammering too! Impressive. Lots of folks from the hill country traveled up to work in Detroit, etc, to get out of the coal mines, and for decent steady pay. Maybe more so towards the 40's and 50's.
 
Neat. Its like the tv show, "How Do They Do that?" You can learn things that you never imagined wanting to know:)
 
I posted the video about a year ago... just watched it again.. so cool seeing how automated we were really were in 1936.
